Following graduate school, Tim moved to the Triangle from rural SC in 1996 and is proud to call Raleigh his home. 

Tim obtained his real estate license after retiring from a 28-year career in behavioral health where he served in many roles from clinician to executive director.  Several of his years in the industry were spent in residential services for special populations where he assisted organizations in the Carolinas and Florida with locating, purchasing, renovating, building, and licensing homes for supported living arrangements.  For the last half of his career, he dedicated his efforts to growing a successful behavioral health organization he co-founded and later served as a business consultant.  Tim has also been investing in residential and commercial real estate since 2004, slowly adding to his portfolio over the years.

Tim's experience and training in behavioral health have taught him that "to connect with others, communication is key, and good communication starts with listening, observation, and respect".  His investment experience has made him well versed in the many facets of property ownership and things to consider when looking to buy or sell.  He's renovated a number of properties and assisted fellow investors with getting properties ready for market.  He's also completed projects using the NC Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits Investment Program and Raleigh Rainwater Rewards program.

His Free Time:

  • Working on a long list of projects to maintain and restore his own old American foursquare located in the historic Glenwood-Brooklyn neighborhood of DT Raleigh. 
  • Relaxing on his back porch.
  • Possibly being overly meticulous with maintaining his lawn.
  • Hunting for great Bourbon.
  • Laughing with friends and family.
