Hanes Joyner has been a resident of the Triangle area in North Carolina for 13 years and is originally from the small town of Ahoskie in Eastern North Carolina. He attended Barton College on a soccer scholarship and formed lasting friendships and business connections. After moving to Raleigh, he began his sales career in door-to-door sales before transitioning to an inside sales role.

With his Real Estate license, Hanes uses his experience in challenging sales environments to provide exceptional customer service to his clients. He has experience collaborating with builders and developers, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the real estate industry. He is dedicated to DeRonja Real Estate’s mission of doing business the right way, placing the needs of our clients first.  

Hanes served on the Realtor® Giving Network Board at the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors®(RRAR) from 2018-2021, where he helped raise money for families in need of housing. He was recently selected to be a part of RRAR’s Leadership Academy’s 2023 class. Hanes continues to serve the community as a member of the philanthropy committee at the City Club of Raleigh as well as volunteering with local charity organizations.

In his free time, Hanes enjoys running, climbing, backpacking, attending concerts, and trying new restaurants. He is passionate about volunteer work and fundraising around the community in which he serves.
